Sugarleaf is an establishment that offers nutritious meals available for both dine-in and to-go, and a mini-mart of locally- sourced organic produce which they dubbed as Healthy Picks. The name Sugarleaf came from the plant called stevia, whose leaves possess anti-oxidant properties and an intense sweetening capability.
With the tagline “Foods that nourish,” one can expect a wide selection of goods that indeed, promote the concept of eating food free of artificial preservatives and products. Their all-organic produce consisting of fruits, herbs and vegetables are from the LaToP (La Trinidad organic Practitioners) multi- purpose cooperative farmers. These farmers’ produce has the stamp of approval from the Organic Certification Council of the Philippines, an organization that monitors the production of crops. The full line of Goody Kefir, a probiotic drink from the cultured, enzyme-rich kefir that contains good micro-organisms to balance our “inner ecosystem,” is also available at Sugarleaf.
Aside from Healthy Picks, guests can also enjoy healthy meals and drinks that fully utilize fresh produce in their cozy dining area washed with various shades of green. an eclectic mix of different dining sets allows 20 persons to be seated at any time of the day. Filling food items sans the guilt is what one can expect from their reasonably-priced menu. Their all-day selection consists of sandwiches, Goody wraps, salads, pasta, desserts, healing juices,
snacks, desserts and hot and cold beverages.
The store is also a mini-gallery for artists and partner non- government organizations such as circle of Friends Foundation inc., a group that helps disabled countrymen in promoting their beautiful works. handmade mount Pinatubo ash-glazed ceramics are also up for display, wherein proceeds of the sale are donated to the entrepreneur Volunteer assistance charity Foundation which helps indigenous people in the country.
Sugarleaf also accepts reservations for private gatherings, perfect for family reunions and company meetings. They also hold workshops in the store with topics that center mostly on organic farming, healthy cooking and wellness.
