  • 3 bunches Chinese pechay or bokchoy (about 1/2 kilo)
  • 2 cloves garlic , minced
  • 6-8 pcs Fresh shiitake mushrooms , sliced
  • 2 Tbsps Oyster sauce
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 2-3 drops sesame oil to
  • drizzle on top
  • chopped peanuts

steps

  1. Wash bokchoy under running water. Cut off the lower part and discard.
  2. Heat water in a pot and bring to a boil. Blanch the bokchoy for 3-4 minutes. Do not overcook. Drain, transfer to a serving platter and set aside.
  3. In a wok, heat cooking oil. Add garlic and fresh mushrooms and stir-fry for a minute or two.
  4. Add oyster sauce and water. Simmer for a few minutes.
  5. Pour over the vegetables or add vegetables to the sauce. Drizzle with sesame oil and top with peanuts.
